Dr. Nurhanani binti Abu Bakar is an Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgeon with a special interest in Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2006 and her Doctor of Orthopaedics and Traumatology from the same university in 2016.
She further enhanced her expertise through international clinical training, including a Clinical Fellowship in Knee, Hip and Shoulder Surgery at Croix-Rousse Hospital, Lyon, France, in 2022. She also received specialised training in Shoulder Arthroscopy, Arthroplasty and Sports Surgery at Bezmialem Vakif University, Istanbul, Türkiye.
In 2024, she completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, strengthening her expertise in minimally invasive procedures, sports injuries and joint preservation.
Since November 2023, Dr. Nurhanani has been serving as an Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgeon at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang, providing specialist care for various orthopaedic and sports-related conditions.
She is also actively involved in medical education, research and professional development, having contributed to national and international conferences and published research in peer-reviewed journals. Her ongoing academic involvement reflects her commitment to providing evidence-based and advanced orthopaedic care.
