Dr. Mohd Tawfeq began his medical career after completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2012. He obtained his Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 2019 and completed his Master of Medicine at Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2020.
His cardiology training includes comprehensive experience in both general and interventional cardiology at Institut Jantung Negara. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP Glasg) in 2025 and has also completed the European Examination in Core Cardiology (EECC) and Level 2 training requirements in cardiac computed tomography.
Before joining Avisena Specialist Hospital, Dr. Mohd Tawfeq served as a Physician and Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara.
