Dr. Wan Syazween began her medical education at the University of Cardiff, United Kingdom, where she completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) in 2011. She subsequently obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2016.
Her specialist training in Dermatology was completed through the Specialty Certificate Examination in Dermatology at the Royal College of Physicians, UK, in 2020, followed by an Advanced Master of Dermatology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2021.
Dr. Wan Syazween has also developed expertise in aesthetic medicine and dermatologic laser surgery. Her additional qualifications include certification from the International Institute of Wellness & Aesthetic Medicine, Board Certification in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine in Orlando, Florida, and a fellowship in Dermatologic Laser Surgery at Ramathibodi Laser Training Centre, Bangkok, completed in January 2025. She has also received Chapter 2 Letters of Credentialing and Privileging in Aesthetic Medicine from the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Prior to joining Avisena, she practised as a Dermatologist & Aesthetic Physician, further developing her expertise in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
